Dr. Marc Chasse served as Club Français' first President at the time of its foundation in 1994. Dr. Chasse has lived in Fort Kent for the past 42 years. During his time in Fort Kent, Dr. Chasse served the community as a chiropractor, a profession from which he retired in 1998. In his retirement, Dr. Chasse is involved in the Fort Kent Historical Society, and also videotapes and interviews people of interest. Elected in 2005, he is currently serving his second term as President of Le Club Français. Dr. Chasse is always involved in the preservation, promotion and revival of the French language in the St. John Valley.
